About the Event

How might we redesign Jewish workplaces to acknowledge the challenge of this moment?  We already know women are bearing the brunt of the pandemic. This huge "1-2-3 punch" that is forcing women out of workplaces, forcing women to balance childcare while working from home, forcing women to reconsider their careers, is forcing women to give up their dreams of --and pursuit of--equity in the world and in the workplace. Join us to begin a conversation about this redesign and plan for a different future. Concrete plans to be made for change if and when you're ready to step forward into this space: be with us!

Together, in groups big and small, we will identify specific issues now facing Jewish workplaces, and work to think about how we can redesign them for this new reality. What might "work from home" look like? What might child care and child care benefits look like? How do we design for flex time? How do we balance the issue of supervision? How do we support women to stay at work and not off ramp their careers?

Our goal will be to begin specific concrete conversations--and collect ideas toward bigger issues that may drive future dialogue. We hope you'll take a step toward a brave, difficult conversation and join us.
